Christmas Eve

These are pictures of crazy hat white elephants on christmas eve.

We got home christmas eve night and realized we hadn't taken very many pictures of Kasen. Man I am a bad mom. So I plopped him on the couch in his cute christmas outfit and took some.

So I decided to start giving Kasen some rice cereal before bed. I have only done it twice and I was surprised at how much he loved it. He kept diving his head towards the spoon. It was hilarious. He even acted a little mad when I wouldn't give him any more. We will have to see if he keeps it up!

Santa Kasen

So my mom surprised us and bought Kasen a santa suit without telling us. Then she waited until we asked her to babysit and she took a ton of pictures of Kasen all dressed up. I think they are pretty cute but I am a little biased.

Look how big I am getting

I can't believe how fast time goes. Kasen is getting so big...and he is starting to sleep about 6 hours straight at night. I love my sleep so it has been very nice for me. Justin also has been enjoying it on the nights that I am at work because he has to get up and feed him.

I'm A Morning Boy

Kasen is always so happy in the morning. We can always expect to see his biggest smiles when he first wakes up. It is so funny to watch him get all excited because he tries to laugh but no sound comes out yet. I am sure he will start to giggle soon.

Happy Halloween

Kasen is my little superhero! He was Superman for his first Halloween. I can't say that he loved being in his costume but he was pretty good for pictures. I bought the costume about a month and a half ago and it was almost to short for him by the time Halloween came. I can't believe how fast he is growing!

On Halloween, we went to a party and Justin and Jessica Johnston's. I was "witch and famous" and Justin went as Justin Timberlake ( not much of a costume if you ask me).

Go Jazz!!

Kasen already know which NBA team he should be cheering for. He has already been to 3 Jazz games. He has loved them all...until the 4th quarter and he starts getting restless. He loves just looking around at everything going on. Of course we had to take a picture of his first game!

Kasen's First Trip to California- August 2008

When Kasen was 4 weeks old he went on his first plane ride to California. Ryan had just gotten home from his mission and we went back to visit some people he met while he was there. Here are some pictures from our California trip.
Kasen's first omelet! Don't worry, we didn't really let him eat any.

1st time at the beach

Dodger's Baseball Game

Crazy Hat Store

Knott's Berry Farm and Snoopy

1st bath at home...Not so much fun!

Kasen didn't really enjoy his first bath at home. In fact he screamed the whole time and didn't calm down until we wrapped him in his little ducky robe. Thank goodness he likes his baths now.

Justin's first Diaper Change

Justin swore he was going to be just like his Grandpa Hill and never change a diaper. Well, as you can see he is changing one... and it's only the second night at home. However he has yet to change a messy one...just wait until I go back to work in 2 weeks, then he won't have a choice!

Long awaited update!

Well, it had taken me ahwile to get this blog going. Justin started this blog when we were in the hospital and I was in labor. So, with a lot of harrassment from a few people (I won't name names...Justin Johnston)about having the worst blog out there, I am finally getting my act together.

Justin starting our
blog months ago.

After about 7 hours of labor, Kasen Perry Whittaker was born at 7:43 am on July 21st, 2008. He weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Luckily for me, the labor wasn't too bad...after I got my epidural. Thank goodness for pain medication!

Justin is a new dad!
